| Can I get another fish....HELP!!!!!! I have a 12 gallon nano cube dx with a 10 gallon sump.. How many fish can I keep safely in this tank. I have 2 clowns, and a small red caribean nano goby.. Can I add another fish, or should I just leave well enough alone... I do water changes every 2 weeks.....

| | 3reef Moderator | I would just leave it alone. But your current 3 fish don't really need swimming room. So if you where to add another Nano style fish, one that does not require swimming room I think your only hurdle would be bio-load. You may need to increase water change frequency
there is so many cool nano fish these days I'm having a really hard time not setting up a tank

Not having a Nano I have little knowledge on fish for small tanks, but I really like Firefish and cardinals. You could also look at a cool shrimp or other invert that wouldn't contribute to the bio-load

| The bioload associated with your tank will have alot to do with the filtration that you are employing in my opinion! If you have good skimming and a good amount of live rock and sand for biological filtration and also add carbon periodically, I don't see why you coulnd't add more fish! Water changes once a week will only add to the success you could have. _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | if you want a shrimp, you'd be so much happier with a fire or cleaner shrimp.they eat parasites off your fish as well so their very good for your tank.peppermint shrimp are just good for eatting aiptasia, but only eat really small ones.camel shrimp are good for nothing.clown gobies are good nano fish but the clowns may pick on them,i'm not sure.
