I think this is were people may have started to sound mean. This is a website dedicated to reef aquariums and to say that it is a bad site would be wrong unless you are looking for information on Land crabs and then I would have to say you need to brush up on your google search skill.

No one was being mean just a little sarcastic, Glad you found a good site for Land crabs.

well, I'm not sure, but I understood it that way.

This site is not that great (for what I'm looking for).
I don't think she meant to judge the forum at all, but just realized she is in the wrong spot here.

Samantha,

You just don't understand us. You see Hermit Crabs are too easy. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars to keep overpriced fish, crustaceans, corals, and other stuff you will never touch and play with alive. Lets not forget, that if you look at half of them the wrong way, they will up and die just to spite you. And the hours and hours and hours of tank maintenance are so rewarding. Then just when you think you have this hobby down, you tank will get over-run with red algae or some other dreaded problem for no apparent reason and you are back to square one.

Why do we do this again? Maybe I should get a pet rock.

Bruce

Samantha,
Land hermits and the hermit crabs we keep are very different most of use, if not all of us on this web site, have never kept Land crabs. All my hermit crabs live in a 75G saltwater Aquarium and never go on land.
3Reef is a Web site for saltwater coral and fish. there is a section for fresh water fish because there is some cross over. But unfortunately you will find no information here that can help you with your crabs.
I encourage you to seek information @ www.hermitcrabassosiation.com because that is a web site for the type of crabs you have.
If you have an interest in Saltwater Aquariums please feel free to join 3REEF and learn as much as you can.

In the mean good luck with your Land Crabs

Jason
