| Re: Here come the clowns Mr. Bond. Clowns are very territorial and very difficult to mix. Without knowing your tank size or set-up I really can't say for sure, but probably not.
If you could edit your profile and include your tank information that would be most helpful. _________ Just tryin to recreate God's perfection in a glass bowl. 20 Gallon Reef W/Live Rock, mated pair of Maroon Clowns, Softies, 110 watts PC 10,000k lighting, and skimmer. |

| Re: Here come the clowns I just talked to somebody at my LFS yesterday who told me he has a 55 gal tank and one maroon and another clown (sorry, forgot which one). He said they get along great They even share an anemone... I was surprised too
But well, that's only ONE per species and not a pair, and they are definitely gonna be more territorial in pairs. And of course, the are always exceptions
_________
90 gal, 120 lbs sand, 90 pounds live rock (adding), 5 blue-green chromis&&&&10 gal, softies, one Ocellaris Clownfish, one clowngoby, one cbs and lots of rock && |

| Re: Here come the clowns Good point hoodoo. There are exceptions, but as soon as you recomend an exception and things don't work out ... well you get the idea, eh?
I agree clown pairs would be much more likely to be territorial. |

| Re: Here come the clowns aeh, I didn't mean to recommend an exception. I meant that the other person's tank is an exception. |

| Re: Here come the clowns I'd like to say, I have a 100gal tank, and at the beginning I put one Clarke in, then a week later another. There was no getting along.
Now just a month ago, I put a pair of ocellaris clowns in and they get along great.
I read it's OK to add them at the same time, but not at different times.
I don't think it's a good thing, the pairs will fight each other.

| Re: Here come the clowns yeah, I think so too.
I love clowns too and I want to get a pair of black and white peculas. And I'm not happy that I won't be able to get another clown. Well, good reason for another tank |

| Re: Here come the clowns Brian: He was asking about two different species of clowns. That's even more risky. You can put a few of the same kind, but not different ones. |

| Re: Here come the clowns Thanks for all the input guys! It sounds like, if I may summarize, that it's best not to try to mix the clowns. I had the tomato clowns already and had a friend who needed to ditch his tank with a pair of clarks, and wanted to know if I wanted them. Thought I'd check. Thanks again! |
