growing tang food.

What are some good algea I can grow in a fuge and feed to tangs?

I was thinking about getting a Purple tang and a Yellow or blue.

From what I understand, this "sea lettuce" is a favorite of tangs.....

Here's a pic of the Gracilaria algae from http//www.Liveaquaria.com. They do sell it. I had that sea lettuce growing out of the fuge almost. It was starting to cause problems so I pulled it out and gave it all away.

Problems? What kind of ?

It took over and was clogging up my retuen pump. I didn't like it anyways. Both the sea lettuce and gracilaria can be trimmed back. If your feeding it to tangs your basically going to be trimming back anyhow. Go for the red. I've heard that alot of tangs won't eat the sea lettuce.
