Hi,

Do you need to get a HOB skimmer or do you have a sump? In sump or in-line skimmers are better on average than HOB skimmers.

_________

46 Gal bowfront - 350W MH - 65W PC Actinic -CS90 Skimmer - SQWD with locline outputs - 18G refugium RDP- 1/4 HP chiller - 2x96W PCs on sump a fuge for coral frags and macro.
It's an overcrowded home with a little of everything and 5 fish. Thank good the fuge and sump were built for something bigger.

Default bIGGER IS BETTER

hi,
I have two skimmers one is ok the other is not so good, I would go for the largest skimmer cup you can afford. My best one is a coralife.
They can fill up pretty quick if they over flow its a mess.
I ve even seen some with a overflow built in .
After you run one for a while you would appreciate that.
Doug

With my AquaCEV180 I have it set up so the cup never fills up. Their is a valve for me to attach some soft hosing to redirect the skimmate to another bigger container, so I don't have to worry as much about overfilling the cup!
I love AQUA C skimmers! I also have the remora for my smaller reef tank and it works great!
