B-Ionic is great stuff as is sechem. Kent stuff is pretty weak and i have trimmed most of it from my product line. Stay away from marc wiess products. Most places sell it because the mark up is awesome; not because it is a good product!

For the do it yourselfer you can make a 2-part. It is easy to do and cheap. Here is a link

2-part mix

Just a note, the dowflake can be hard to find. The is instructions for using CaCl instead which is easy to find. CaCl is sold as a de-icer for pavment, just make sure you read the label and make sure it is Calcium Chloride.

Kent Turbo Calcium is Calcium Chloride just more expensive.

One last thing some 2-parters have trace elements that this mix may not have. I'm not 100% sure on this.

Thanks everyone, looks like I will be ordering up some B Ionic ASAP! Let me aks, since this is a FOLWR setup, I really want to try and bring out my live rock's coraline, anything else with BI I can use along with it since I am only running minimal lighting? Purples, reds highly desired! I have about 4 differetn types of live rock so hopefully once all is said and done, it will get becoem encrusted as you pros say!

Keep calcium around 400-450, Mag around 1300-1400, alk around 12 - 13 dKh and you should be good to go!

Once you get the numbers in line, use the B-Ionic for maintenance...
