a lot of people dont know what different terms or abbreviations mean so here is a good glossary for explanation on these http://fins.actwin.com/glossary.php

Great references. Let's take this a step further: Post the abbreviations or terms that are causing difficulty. Others can chime in and provide definitions. Then future users can use the 3Reef.com search tool to find the terms. Here's some that had me baffled, but I've since figured out.
(If others have better definitions, please add them.)
Actinic -- a type of fluorescent light. Blue in color.
FO -- Fish Only
FOWLR -- Fish Only With Live Rock
LFS -- Local Fish Store
Sump -- A container holding water, usually under the main fish tank
Refugium -- a refuge, usually for holding algae and live food creatures
RO/DI -- Reverse Osmosis, de-ionization _________ -- SAW39 45 gal modified hex. Started and cycled August 2005.
2 Serpent Stars, Ocelaris Clown, Yellow Tang, Green Chromis damsel, Condalactis & Macrodactyla dorensis anemones, 1 big bristleworm, 1 small Banded Coral shrimp.
