Flow & Power Heads

Alright guys and gals I need some help, I have two Maxi-Jet’s 1200 in my 90 one is in the middle at the very top face out and down a bit and the other one is on the left side about 6 inches from the top but facing out and up a bit. I also have another PH rated a 550 in the right corner toward to very bottom of my over flow facing forward to provide some flow in the front, Now is this to much flow? And I would like to move the Maxi-Jets around so that I would only have two PH’s in the tank. Where do you recommend that I place them? I am also dealing with some red slime that comes and goes. I just started to treat again today, so hopefully that will be gone within few weeks maybe less.

The powerhead position should be dictated by your tank set-up regarding the rock and coral positioning in your tank IMO!
The best way is to have the powerheads bounce of the glass in some way thus disbursing the water flow over a wider range within your tank!
Cyanobacteria is due to excess nitrogen gas in your water as air is roughly 78% nitrogen gas! It then causes your nitrates to rise due to decomposing or eaten by herbivores. How is your nitrate level?

I just test it today and it's at 5.0

That is a good level so we know your nitrates are in check! Increasing the water flow will also help to reduce the amount of cyanobacteria! You may want to have the three powerheads running!
