Question Is this enough flow?

I have a 30G oceanic cube and I just got about 35# of live rock. Will two zoomed powersweep PS-20s be enough flow. They say up to 160 gph. Will this work for now just to get the tank going? Or do i need more right away? I have an internal filter I can put in there that flows pretty good until i get a better powerhead if i need too. Thanks. I want to get this tank going really bad.

You should be more than ok. I actually think your gonna have too much for a 30. Of course, it really depends on what type of corals you are gonna have in there. I'm running dual Rio 90's rated at like 70 something gph and I get decent flow. Gonna upgrade one of them to an 180, might do both.

I have them at the surface on each end.

For cycling the tank, you should have plenty of flow. After the tank is cycled the key is to have sufficient flow in all the areas of the tank, in other words to have as little dead flow area as possible. This keeps the detritis, (spelling?) or decayed debris, in suspension allowing it to be removed by filtration. I hope that helps somewhat. Gl to you

Yeah I think I will just put the internal filter in for the cycling so the flow is real high and then take it out later. That way it helps cycle but won't be unsightly once the tank is set up. Thanks for the help.
