| I do on my 30 gallon because my hand displaces enough water to make it overflow. I un-plug my lights especially when I take my canopy off so I can make sure to put it somewhere safe and not on the floor next to me. |

| Usually just my lights to take them off the tank and rest them on the floor. Oh yes, if i'm working on the powerheads, alot of the time I will unplug them because, more than once I had water flowing out of my powerhead only to land on the floor or all over the side of my tank. You really don't need to unplug anything. It's not like you are working with sharp/moving parts. _________ 125gal.w/Mag9.5 return(dual megaflow)>Mag7 pump Aqua Cev180skimmer.Wave2k Hamilton Reefstar(2)250watthqi(mh)pend.a Yellow, Naso Tang Red Lip Blenny Percula Clown Demoiselles Niger Trigger F. | Not usually, so far only once... I wish I wouldn't have..... Last week I unplugged my sump pump and the other end syphoned water back directly on top of my power strip.
Wife giglled at the rising smoke and called me stupid....
I say,... lesson learned.
