| Re: Do i need a protein skimmer? Skimmers are the best insurance policy for fish and new aquariasts. I shudder to think of my livestocks plight early on without one of those babies. For all the reasons above and the awesome removal of dissolved organic compounds (DOCs), aka, fish poop and other yucky stuff. Much better for water quality!
PS,
Welcome! _________ Just tryin to recreate God's perfection in a glass bowl. 20 Gallon Reef W/Live Rock, mated pair of Maroon Clowns, Softies, 110 watts PC 10,000k lighting, and skimmer. |
