Cycle Question

I am about half way thru my new tank Cycle. This is my first Aquarium I have a 75 Gal Tank and 5 fish. My ammonia is now 0 my nitrite is .2. My question is about Alkalinity. When I test I am getting really high results 4.5 meg/L although my PH is around 8.1. Is this normal during the Cycle for my Alk to be so High as my PH is low?

I wouldn't consider this to be a high alkalinity level. It is higher than NSW but this 4-5 meq/l range is prefered in the aquaria. Your PH will swing low to high depending on the time of day. Usually low with the lights off and higher with them on.
