| Crabs ? I have two crabs that were sent to me as extras when i ordered my rock and sand . When my tank seetles out i want to add corals my question is should I evict the crabs first . The one big ugly one ( Decorater Crab ) is always on the go and kinda neat but dose stop by and mess with the feather duster and the pointed one dose not seem to bother anything yet . I think I know the answer ( get rid of them ) but they are kinda neat to watch . Thanks for the help _________ Water and 150 pounds of TPBay live rock and stuff !
55 gal ,4x110-VHO bulbs,Remora skimmer,3maxi-jet 1200's on wave timmer,quiet one-2200 return pump (580 gph )from wet dry filter . what am I getting into ?
5 years with 3 cichlid tanks and a 55 hex fish only salt tank .It's been three years without now it's time for a reef ! |

| I have a Sally Light and she is always carefully to dance around my zoa's. Hasn't bothered them at all. That's just her though, you may have a completely different experience with yours. My advice would be to watch them. They probably won't do too much damage too fast. Any signs of trouble, yard them out of there and/or banish to your fuge.

| decorators are known to cut small pieces of some corals off and stick them to their back, how they can get stuff to stick to themselves in a matter of seconds is kind of scary _________ 24G JBJ Nano, 20# Live Sand, 40# Live Rock

| Come to think of it, that decorator is a different kettle of fish. He will snip things to put on his back. So you may want to get rid of him. Not sure about the point one. Have a pic? |

| Don't like crabs, don't trust them, except for small hermits and when on dinner plate.
But that decorator crab is pretty neat. I might be inclined to keep it, but at the first sign of any depredation on either corals, other crabs/snails etc. Out it comes. _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)

Take one to your LFS and drop him in desired tank. Show up next day and offer to buy him. Giggle as LFS guy scratches his head, "How'd he get in there?"
LOL! |
