Well, newsflash all. I wanted to see if the chaeto was dying/softening so I picked it up and I shook it real well. It felt firm and I noticed the whitening had gone away; and the algae seemed again shiny and wiry. A minute later on the glass of the chaeto section of the 'fuge with a flashlight; I saw one. Then another! Yup, I can see now they are plenty visible alright! They scuffle about as though they're in a rush to get somewhere. Walking around like cockroaches on land!
Hmm. I'll try to love them and remember they can't make it to my pantry alive. LOL
