| I have been using windex for many yrs. on all types of tanks and never had a problem yet.. Its something I never worried about . Now I never tried to pour it into the tank's But I have had it to over spray into them at some point I am sure.. But really whats in it that would wipe the tank out ? A Little Ammonia and distilled water.. |

| Same here. never had a problem with spraying the glass directly with windex. i think it would have to take quite a bit poured right in to do any damage.

| I use the windex wipes...that come in the resealable package.... I just clean my tank then go on to clean off other stuff after that... my gf loves that it motivates me to clean a little..cuz I don't want to waste a wipe..figure I may as well clean off something like the microwave or the stove top after I finish cleaning the tank glass...as that usually only uses a small part of one wipe..heh.. |

| I read a year back or so, that Windex spray that enters the tank can actually feed Hair Algae. Can't remember where i read this.
