| Can Turboflotor Multi be installed inside sump Hey Guys,
I have a Turboflotor Multi 1000 for my 90 Gal reef setup. I know I can install the Turboflotor beside sump, hang on to the sump, but can I put the entire Skimmer inside the sump and have it skim. I don't know if having the reaction chamber submergered in 4 to 5 inches of water will damage the skimmer. If any one has a Turboflotor Multi 1000 any info is greatly appreciated, thanks. |

| | 3reef Moderator | I believe it can but you should ensure the water level in the sump, were the skimmer is, dose not change too much. fluctuations in water levels will cause cup flooding or loss of skimming

| I had this skimmer. The multi is made to go either in or out of the sump. It will work fine. Just note what the instructions say about where the pump is placed in relation to the waterline. You might want to move the pump closer to the waterline if it is producing really wet foam. |

| No problem. I tinkered quite a bit with that skimmer. Let me know how it works out. |

| i have lent mine to my cousin and it is situated in the sump i have made sure the outlet pipes are just above the water and all is fine .....this shimmer has a tendancy to run wet in the begining, i think its either due to the oils on your hands or air pressures and the fact that it has a conical shaped foam cup, we have debated this quite extensively on SA Reefkeeping.com ...... good luck with yours let us know how it goes |

| In Europe this skimmer is attached with Ocean Runner pump 2500 and if you set the pump at 7 or 8 inch of surface you get the best result.
