CALCIUM TO HIGH

my corals are not opening. I took water sample to the lfs and they said water was good after they tested it so they sold me $150 worth of additives with still no results so a week later took back another sample which was good so they sold me a large bag and big container of carbon and a grounding probe and they had me replace my filter in the wet dry with a carbon bag because they thought i had toxins or stray electricity so a week later still no results i took another water sample to the lfs and the young girl said that the calcium was at 750 and it should be at 400 but she did not know if it being high was a good thing bad thing or ok any help would be appreciated thank you

When they tell you that your water is good do they give you the readings. Calcium should be between 400-500 ppm. The problem with the high calcium is that your Alkalinity is probably low. The two level need to be balanced. Here are some good articles but you need to know where your Alk is at.
