Not only that, but you used the wrong spelling of "their." HAHAHA | I didnt mention the part about them burning down houses. Thats probally an urban legend.
As for my spelling, bite me! When you've spent as much time as I did the last 48hrs picking up fish, bagging, delivering fish, picking up corals, dipping corals and acclimating them then we'll see how well your typing is. _________ Got Questions? | the burning houses part is not urban legend.those were older lights though.they sold lights that were dangerous and low quality, often not even the right spectrum.as time went on and they made money, they began to improove the lights.personally thats not the way i beleave in doing buisiness but whatever.point is i just don't trust them, but as long as their around,it will keep other companies from charging an arm and a leg for what is basically just a light.

| I have a 75G and when I was looking for lighting I changed my mined 50 different times, I went from being dead set on getting a Orbit Extreme or some type of premade lighting to finally getting a Retro kit and making my own. And by doing that I got much better and more light for less cost. I ended up 2 48" 110watt VHO's and 2 250W 20K MH's and built a conopy added fans for cooling. The reason I went with VHO's and MH's vs. T5HO's was because the people who had T5HO's either loved them or thought they sucked there was no in between, but the VHO and MH combo was recomended more. Another benefit to doing a retro is if you go bigger with you Aquarium all you have to do is build a new canopy and mybe add more MH and VHO vs. starting all over with a premade. I dont have a chiller and my tank stays at 74 degrees all the time.
And as far as buying lighting from EBAY that your choice, but remember its a risk. I would rather buy from a store so atleast when or if it breaks I know I wont have any problems getting it fixed. |
