| Often when a wrasse is added to a tank, it will dive into the sandbed and hide, maybe for up to a few days. It's normal, so don't disturb the sandbed looking for him. That will only stress the fish out, and make it harder to feed him.
If you want to see what it looks like when a wrasse dives into the sand, just click "my tank video" (in my signature below) and it's towards the end. - Vote #2 Bogie to win the contest!
What do you have to feed the wrasse when it comes back out? _________ |

What do you have to feed the wrasse when it comes back out? | I agree with Bogie up to the part of voting for him Some Wrasses bury them selves in the sand, but I dont think that the Banana is one of them. Hes just hiding in the LR. | I have the same situation I got a pygmy wrasse or a possum wrasse w/e you want to call it two days ago.
I saw it for a second yesterday when I was looking at the back of the tank.
Havn't seen it since then not even for feeding.
It's okay? |

I thought I killed him. No sign of him at all. I realized, he was just getting used to his new environment. Now, he's out and about and 'claiming' his territory. He' seems happy.
