Default Any suggestions 90 gal

Hi

Ok this is what I'm doing. I have a 46gl SW tank 6 months old
I am putting up a 90gl.
This is my plan. I have all new sand in the 90 with about 8 cups of sand from LFS to seed. Filled up with RO/DI water 40lbs BR, raw shrimp letting cycle.
Ok after my 90gal cycles I have around 90lbs of LR from my 46 and my fish 1 yellow tang 1 hippo 1 blenny 1 goby shrimp crabs snails. And also have a 20gal fuge I need to transfer from my 46 to my 90.
I am putting 3 maxi jet 1200 a mag 12 for my return.

Any thoughts suggestions criticism would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.

Welcome to 3reef first of all!
It seems like you have a pretty good grasp as to your plan of action which is great!
Have you been doing alot of reading and research?
Your previous experience will help you with the bigger tank and also the bigger tank affords you more room for error...just don't get to comfortable with that notion!
Best of luck! Take it slow and make sure your water parameters are in check before transferring livestock!

It all looks great to me. I have the same size tank My preference would be to use a mag 9 instead of a 12 unless you are trying to do something special with all that flow like go through a squid or something else that will restrict your return flow. Also if i had the money I would go with power heads like the Tunze with real high volume flow rates and magnet retainers. Enjoy

Jim

Switching tanks won't be that difficult as long as you take your time, and comehttp://www.3reef.com/aquarium-page-Content-viewarticle-40.html up with a plan of action before hand! This should help!!! Good luck!
