Fish should be ok for the one hour travel to your home. THINK ABOUT HOW LONG FISH REMAIN IN TRANSIT FROM THE CARIBBEAN, FIJI ETC. sometimes 8 hours or so. As long as the fish is packed well so temperatures remain fairly constant and stress is at a minimum, there should be no problems.
Do you know if the pet shop has oxygen to add to your bag that the fish will be in? One of the local pet shops here in town offers oxygen to each bag to help the livestock with oxygenated water, which is beneficial(like in your case) when people have far to travel with their livestock.
