Default 90gal Corner Tank

Hi everyone!! I am now looking at setting up a brand new 90gal corner tank with overflows. I am looking at putting a 12" tall canopy on it because I cannot hang anything from the ceiling. I would like to keep clams so I know I need MH. If you all can maybe post some links of everything I need that would be great. I need everything basically, sumps, lighting,...everything. If there is also a way to figure out how much it will cost to run the lights, that would be great to know. Thanks for the info!!

Jeremy

Okay here is the next question. With a overflow tank I am trying to decide between and sump and trickle filter. Also I am wondering about the lighting for a corner tank. I will be installing a 12" canopy on this with fans of course. I am wondering about how many watts I will need to get for clams. Also the configuration on how to put them in the canopy. Thanks for the info!!

I vote for Sump! You can put all the ugly stuff in there
Plus, a trickle filter does not offer you anything additional if you have enough Live Rock (except the nice trickling noise that will keep you in the bathroom all night LOL and nitrates) They tend to be somewhat limited as to how you can arrange and fit stuff in them.

Sump, biggest tank you can fit in there and make it the way you want! Or you can go with the ecosystem mud filter.....just thought I would throw that in there! Decisions decisions!!! Have fun!

Can't comment on the light really....12" fixture...is that how long it is? How deep is the tank...

It's not a 12" fixture.... It is going to be a 12" tall canopy.......

Bump...

How deep is the tank and how long is the fixture? That will better help determine number of lights and watts

I would try and go with Metal Halides if it is in your budget
