First off I have a 150watt HPS(high pressure sodium) light sitting around and a 150watt MH bulb. I was looking in to converting the ballast to take a MH bulb. From what I can figure they are bassicly the same but the MH ballast does not have the igniter. Anyone have any insite on how I can go about doing this?

Look on the ballast for any type of nameplate data, and what type of metal halide bulb is it? Different types of bulbs require different types of ignition and voltages.
