Acan coral not opening

    I have had a good size piece of acan about 20 heads in my tank at the bottom with minimal flow for about 2 months now.

    The last 2 days it has not been opening all parameters are in check and nothing has changed...

    Anyone know what i should check or do? Im not to worried about it but would like to know what to check to make sure its not dying.

    Do you have bottom dwellers that could be walking on it??

    have a PB tang and chromis's and a shrimp.. thats about it for the LS except for astrea snails and a banded serpent star. And it use to be extending tentacles but i havent seen them for 2 days.

    Give it some time, I have had an acan not open after I hit it, it deserved it. They are pretty hardy corals. Mine will close at some points, then open back up.

    okay.. i was thinking the same thing.. parameters are good and i havent changed anything so i was expecting it may just be a temporary thing.. will see how it goes and hopefully it will fix it self.

    Was it being a bad Acan? Not sure why you would hit a coral, lol.
