Take a look at something called "mag-flip"...think it's made by mag-float.
It looks really low profile and it somehow flips around in the tank from scrubber to scraper.
Saw it on mag-flip.com website, but I can't find them anywhere in stores or online!!

I have had the same problem with not enough space for my Mag-Float between a rock and the glass. Someone else posted this site, MAG-FLIP :: Aquariumcleaner :: scrape flip and clean :: Bakker Magnetics. I think this is the answer. It looks to be only about 8mm thick compared to the nearly 30mm Mag-Float. Anyone seen this, know who is selling it?
