Default Might be difficult...

with the limited description, but wanted to see if this sounds familiar to anyone. Just got my first bit a LR yesterday and for a split second saw what looked like a black centipede, possibly with white specks or dots, go from one hole to the next. Does this sound like anything someone has seen and can ID?
Did get a pretty sweet score at the lfs $3.99/lb

Thanks
Travis

Its funny, I hear about worms in the live rock and it could be that. I just saw something weird running around in my rock the other day, looked like one of those little rolly pollys you would find in the grass. But it would pop out of the rock super quick run fast and then dive back into another hole.

That would be a pistol shrimp, not a centipede. They generally have one large claw that makes a snapping sound when they are wreaking havok on your tank.

If you are really concerned about it you can place the rock in some saltwater and let it sit in the garage or somewhere cold for a few days and that should take care of your pest problem!
