Live Rock

Does any one know if it is worth paying the extra dollar a pound to purchase cured live rock or should I just purchase uncured live rock?

I would cure my rock seperately from my display tank unless starting from scratch no matter how the rock was labeled. There is no way to tell how cured it is unless you do it yourself.

If starting from scratch you want to cure it and seed your sand all at once. HTH

I always cure in a seperate system, the die off lowers ph, making any phosphate that is created bind to the calcious substrate. I'd pay the money IF they are properly curing it. Does it look good? Good coverage and such? See any other life forms on it?

i started off with 55 lbs of lr bought off the internet and used that to cycle the tank but i had found a place with fresh cured rock and paid the xtra money for it. if you know its fully cured i would say its worth the money. plus without all the dieoff i think you get more critters.
