congrats!!!

It's kind of funny. Everyone who has coralline WANTS IT GONE!!!

Everyone who doesn't have it, wants it big time.

The thing with coralline algae is that when it starts, it can encompass everything from glass, to live rock. It is beautiful and much better than growing microalgae but does come with a price. Your calcium level will decline with the increase of coralline algae in your tank, therefore, it is crucial to add calcium, iodine and strontium to replace that removed by the coralline algae. If you have a large amount of corals, clams and Halimeda macro as well, these elements will depreciate as well!
Test, test, test!!!!!!

Iodine is important as an antibiotic, it helps to reduce bleaching in coral, and is effective for inverts and their shedding process, and aids in coral coloration.
Strontium helps as does calcium with the calcium carbonate skeleton of corals, making their skeleton less brittle and again, I believe, will help with inverts such as crabs, snails and shrimp and their protective shell!
These, as well as many other trace elements, will be removed by corals, inverts, carbon and skimming so should be added frequently IMO!
