Well Zubin, It's algae. While it is not a desired algae, it is a part of your cycling process. You are goig to see more and different kinds that can be uglier. This is a good sign of the process. I did notice that you are doing water changes already. Let your cycling process do it's thing. You are essentially slowing the process by doing water changes. Let your nitrites spike, nature will take it down, then you'll see nitrates begin to climb after nitrites hit zero. This will be your downhill slope towards a semi-cycled tank. It can take up to 3 months for a tank to be cycled and up to a year to be established and steady. Light cycle should be shortened for the process as well.
