The pictures are awesome.

The polycarbonate diffuser lens are a new addition to our light, specifically designed to enhance the lighting with a shimmer effect. We strategically placed them off to one side, in an effort to mimic the underwater effect of sunlight, blading in from one side. The lens can very easily be re-positioned by taking off the silver casing. These diffuser lens along with the powder coated silver colored casing are new additions to the light that we wanted to share with the 3Reef winner. We hope you enjoy the light!

Some future plans for the light, include the following: a ball bearing mounting rack to allow the light to be easily slid along the track for repositioning, digital-programmable dimming controls versus manual, and an optional 120 degree wide lens, versus our standard 90 degree lens. However the new additions will increase the retail cost of the light. Our original intentions were to provide a well built LED Aquarium Light for the AquaCulture side of the hobby, that everyone could afford, without all the added bells and whistles.

Feedback and/or ideas of improvement are always welcome.

Regards,
Team OCReef.com

I see. That's very interesting. I'll keep the lenses positioned that way and see how my corals respond.

Great to see the prize in such good use, in such a short space of time

excellent feed back ktz216
it is a fine looking unit and the pictures of it in action does indicate it throws a lot of light into that frag tank of yours

It sure puts out a lot of light! The corals were under PC lighting before, so now I'm acclimating them to the new light on the lowest setting.

Here are the par readings, with both the blue and white leds combined, being tested in a 36" x 36" aquarium area, with the light on the highest setting.

48" depth: average of 270, peak of 380
36" depth: average of 350, peak of 450
24" depth: average of 600, peak of 650

So will 2 be enough for a 52x28x24 tank?

Looks really nice! How close are those photos to what you actually see? Is it a lot more blue?

Is that aquaclear filter a fuge? LOL
