    as far as I know they will be the same, just with the option of white or black.

    They are changing the optics to allow them to be mounted lengthwise over tanks which is how the new, better looking mounting brackets will work. Such a slick look.

    I'm so glad I waited to get the black units as my tank frame is black so it will match perfect. Also like the fact that they are making it more effective for those who want to run length wise. The mount looks like it should adapt to the way I want to hang the units as well. Freakin awesome! Do you guys know if they are avaiable yet?

    are the black ones the "pheonix" versions? because those are different. different leds. and lenses. and linkable. and wirelessly controlled
