My cree led build.(Updated LED pics 4/30/13 pg 8)

Well I have finally found some time to start my led build..I will be using 48 led 24 royal blue 24 cool whites with 4 moon leds,all on dim ballasts..I have only finished putting the leds on the heat sinks and started some wiring(these things are bright

),but have a lot to go.I want to enclose them giving that store bought look..hopefully at the end it will look some thing like the orphek pr 156..well a few pics to keep ya busy(not really much to look at tho)..

Thanks..as for the optics I'm not sure yet.it depend on the hight above the tank..they did come with 60*..but I will see when it comes time to hang them..

what size tank are you putting them over

thats the same way iam doing mine ,24 cool whites on 2 dim drivers,24 royal blues one 2 dim drivers

It will be going over a mixed reef 72 bowfront...the heat sinks are 6" x 17"
Yea hopfully the acrylic part of the buil goes as easy as this half..time will tell..lol.

what gage of wire are you useing iam useing 14? posting pics this week end no time to work on now

Do you think 48 LED's will be enough? I was thinking of putting 72 LED's on my 75 gallon.
