Default Wonderful Cleaner Shrimp

Ok, so my blue tang has been battling ich for 3 weeks, and nothing seemed to work. The Melafix cured the secondary bacterial infections, but the Stop Parasites still hasn't seemed to have a lasting effect after 10 days of treating with that. So I bought a cleaner shrimp for $25 (cheaper than the 16oz of Stop Parasites) and finally tonight, I caught him doing what he should. Enjoy the pics.
Now if only that bubble tip anemone would host the clowns....

I've read an article - if you stick a pic of a clown hosting an anemone against the tank, it encourages your clown to do the same, works apprently

I think the picture thing would work, cause as soon as one of my clowns was in it, the other saw it and followed in about 5 minutes...

Karma for the good cleaner. I haven't seen mine doing anything special.

Hey! Congratulations!

As for the anemone, try photo trick! Just print some photos of clown fish hosting anemone and stick them to your glass! It worked for me and few other people I know!

To avoid future problems with that tang, feed him this: New Life Anti-Parasitic Pellet Food 150g (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Food > Dry > Pellets > Saltwater > Small Sized )

About the anemone....well, it's really up to the clown. Give it some time and the clown will finally figure it out. By the picture, I can tell he's checking it out, but from far...exactly what my pink skunk clown did a few days before he finally went to the anemone.

Nice to see shrimp working for you.

Both shrimp and fish need right instincts. Not always the case.

And, of course, some kind of parasite for shrimp to "clean." Not always just ICK.
