not sure what happened i had the one piece for 8 months it was in a 6 gallon tank, before this tank. in this tank it took off. than boom gone. onces it started i watched it all follow. no i stopped doing the kalk a couple weeks ago. and my alk is always on the high side even with cal of 320 my alk was at 12 and its been higher. with kalk it was 440 cal... alk 11 ph 8.1 xenia is nuts!  i will try another piece after a while when i figure the waters are cleansed of what ever it sends out that kills it all.
