What will eat micro feather dusters?

I have in my sump what appear to be and have been described as "micro feather dusters". In the sump they were fine but they since spread to my main tank. I remenber reading that there was a fish, crab, or shrimp that eats them. I searched but could not find the info. I beleive it was corsis or a six line wrasse.



I don't want to eliminate them just control the spread they are now on 3 rocks in my tank. They were cool untill they spread.

Any info would help. Does anyone have the real name?

They as a rule prefer darker ares and are never a problem won't harm any thing and are great filters and will help keep water quality up. Be happy you have them you can get a copperband that would eat them But I'd rather have them myslef. I guess they made it past the old pump ?? I love it ..Have had to many to feel that anything can't get past the main pumps LOL

To add to what Tangster posted, these critters will eventually "level" themselves out once the nutrient level in your tank drops so don't worry about them growing out of control.

I am going to move the main rock that has them back to the sump. When you have a lot on one rock they are not so pretty. Do you know their real name or is micro feather duster correct?

This part I knew, just want to control them in the main tank. They seem to be doing better in the main tank then the sump. I recently (last 3 months) went from flake and some frozen to a frozen mix of clams, squid, cyclospe, nori, brine, silversides, and other seaweeds. I feed this every other day and nori daily. I figure this extra food at the propper size is spurring there rapid spread. It is cool when there is a bed of zoas and 1 duster in the middle but when there is a bed of dusters and 1 zoa, not so nice.

Some brittle stars will get rid of them.
