What anemone is this? care?

    Is this anemone reef safe? is it as agressive as carpet? lighting? should i buy it?

    I'm not sure of the type but it is awfully white and most likely bleached. I wouldn't buy it.....

    I have no idea what type of anemone. Basically they are all fish eaters, especially larger types in smaller tanks.

    It's not like any carpet I have ever seen but looks like either a type of carpet or rock anemone.

    If you are buying for clowns I would not bother. Clowns may not even reside in it.

    Yes, a very bleached rock nem. I recommend only buying healthy specimens unless you want to set up a separate "rescue" tank and take the extra time to provide special care.

    FYI, no nem is reef-safe as they all have the ability to capture fish, shrimp, etc., as well as moving around, stinging corals and sessile inverts. While the idea of keeping a nem sounds intriguing, a lot of us older reefers have learned the hard way to resist all temptation.

    local reefer told me its actually Heteractis aurora...
