This is not exactly news to those with urchins in their reef aquariums, but urchins will wear frags as hats - ok - technically ‘pants.’ Regardless, they will take off with them if they are not really glued down. This is mentioned over and over on the forum, but I thought this photo sums it up well. It was sent to me by my family today. So while I have to sit at work, I can think of my urchin dragging this perfectly healthy frag all over my aquarium. Joy. ::)

Urchins are very fashion conscious. Tuxedos, hats lots of bling ect.

Thanks for sharing Matt! My forstr read of the morning, and between your OP, and the comments from our awesome members, this really put a smile on my face.

MIne always had the 'bling' going on too.
I recently gave my tuxedo urchin to a local reefing friend- in the hopes I wold gain back a little more corralline? I know where it is though, and may have to get him back one day.

Thanks Todd. Happy to help. :)

    Nice pic Chris. 8) haha

Heh not exactly, but I put up with this stuff because of the algae control. My tank would be completely fuzzy without this guy.

    hahahah

    Thanks for the laugh all.

SO here is a crappy pic from last night. I didn't get a moment to myself to deal with this frag poacher until after 10pm and my urchin was still running around with him. ::)

I took the frag and glued it down in a hole on a rock. Funny thing is I don't think I did the best job. I have a feeling I will be doing this again soon. :)
