Default Tiny little slug

New tank and today saw a tiny little sea slug ! About 2ml in length with little horn like things. Ok to leave in the tank or is it a pest. How big will it get. Any info apreciated. What else can I expect to come out of live rock?

When in doubt, take it out. I wouldn't trust any nudibranch in a reef system unless you know exactly what it eats.

the easy way to tell what a nudibranch eats, is its coloration. Way more often than not it will look like a floating bit of algea or like the coral species it eats. I had a green one with horns come into my tank with some sea lettuce. we named him slughorn and he ate the sea lettuce and some cualerpa. I would keep him and watch what he does.

I pulled about 30+ off a rock of zoanthids I got the other day plus 2 egg clutches. Where there is one, there are more. They can devastate a coral. Most eat algae, but the more common ones we find eat corals.

Yet. If you feel that you want to give the nudi a chance, confine it to your sump or refugium because if it's a coral eater, and if it lays eggs in your dispaly tank, you can consider yourself royally screwed.
