does anyone know if a tiger conch is reef safe, or another name for a tiger conch. I saw one at my lfs and they didnt really have a conclusive answer. I was going to buy one, but wanted to wait to make sure it was reef safe. Thanks

There's not really a single species that has the common name "Tiger Conch," so that's apparently a seller's name. I searched the net to see if I could figure out what you were talking about, but found out that some Lambis species, some Strombus species, some Latirus species, and some others are variously called "Tiger Conch." If they are Strombids, including the Lambis (Spider Conch) species, they will be reef safe and won't prey on other snails. The true, vegetarian conchs have ringed eyes and most have a "strombid notch" at the anterior end of the lip, like this:
