it is for sure a tunicate, Ive been checking and found some identicle to it except for the color.

it is a Orange ocial tunicate= Clavelina diminuta
maximum size is up to 6in in diamiter, minimum aquarium size is 50 gallons they are suspention feeders so u will need lots of fine particulate foods, most will die in the home aquarium because of not having enough microplankton to feed off of. they must be placed on the substrate to survive. Thanks. I found it in the sea. It was growing on a rope for a boat. It was pretty close to the surface. I don't think I have to worry. I use natural sea water. Are they good at pulling nitrates from the water?

They are one of the best filter feeders known, those are great looking tunicates you have there!

I have to say im totally jealous, i only have a few and they are not a colony form like yours.

If you want it to survive you will as others have advised have to ensure a sufficient food source is available.

Tunicates in y opinion are one of natures most amazing vertebrates, there lifecycle is just astoundingly strange.

I can get tons of them and they grow well and FAST in my tank. BUT....... I read that they are water fouling so I've removed them. Water fouling will mess up my corals right? Cause I found a HUGE deep purple and yellow tunicate and left it.
