Default Snail ID...I think

http://www.knightfamilyonline.com/nano/index.html

There are many pics of two different snails/gastropods. My inexperience must be showing now.

Any help on id'ing them would be great.

Well I know why you are not finding a pic of it, it is not a snail. Its a tropical abalone, common hitch hiker from the fiji area. I have tons and tons of them.

its an abalone, its not a stomatella, Ive had experts check them out. I thought they were stomatella too, but they are tropical abalones.

Looking at some of the pics of the abalone's on the web it looks more like one of those. I have found three of them today. They are in my 6G nano and hopefully won't get big too fast.

Thanks for the help.

They will get to a maximum of like 2"s and reproduce often, thats why I have tons of them now. I did away with my predator fish, so all of my pods and snails are reproducing like rabbits.

So they are not harmful. And will not over take the tank.

My 3 have now become about 6. They haven't been a problem yet.
