Default slime on orange lankia starfish

my orange starfish was wrapped up around the light mount and had a bunch of funk on it..it looked like a spider web?...I touched him to see if he was ok and he went falling...he then turned himself over and went up into the rocks...seems to be a bit un socialble for the past day or so...
parameters are all good...food seems ample.....mysis, flake and photo-plex
Should I be concerned...

Currently have 55 gallon in cycle ...began August 27th.
Tick tick tick tick tick....

In short yes.

Linka's are tough to keep alive. Don't know if they do not get enough of right food in tank or what. I have tried several times to keep one. They never last long.

Someone else here may report having success, but must be doing something different then I am...

If looking sickly, probably best to pull from thank.

Sorry.
