Default Sexy Shrimp

I just received my 2 Sexy anemonie shrimp along with a cleaner and fire shrimp from Foster and Smith's. Every one seems healthy. I'd appreciate any advice on keeping the Sexy shrimp healthy and happy. They have set up residence in my frog spawn. Does any one know their life span and best way to feed them? Thanks!

No special care required for these shrimp. The little butt wigglers will eat just about anything you feed the fish. The hardest thing about keeping these shrimp is keeping the more carnivouros fish from eating it.

Well for what it's worth and its my advice and your money But I bet your that maroon will consider it a little snack.. But if its too Small of a clown rest assured in a few months it will grow an then it will eat it.. Maroons are one of the most aggressive nd territorial fish I have ever had and will get as large as any fish I have ever kept.. Again Maroons get really LARGE and mean and hungry..Good luck

With an emphasis on MEAN. I was more afraid of my maroon clown than any mantis I've ever kept.

My maroon clown is about 4" and seems to ignore the shrimp, in fact he got spooked by the little shrimp going after a piece of food. May be mines a sissy! I'll keep a watch on things. I can always move them to my refugium.

Thanks Jonathan! Hopefully mine will survive 2-3 years. At least the shrimp only cost $9 each. They have settled in nicely and are eating anything I put in the tank.

i had a sexy shrimp. had... but i am pretty sure that my pink skunk clowns at the time, had a quick snack. they where all in my bta, and them one morning the sexy little beast was gone... its best to keep them in groups of 3-4. they love company.
