Default please help identify

anyone know what this snail is? it has a red foot that is not showing in the pics ill try to get one with the foot out. it digs in the sand alittle and just sits there. if i put it on a rock then it moves.

well the first snail like critter looks like some kind of conch, and the tree looks either like a finger leather of...maybe a colt coral or kenya tree coral...prolly a finger leather because of the coloring

judging by the shell's shape and your description, i would say it's a red footed conch (opeatostoma psuedodon). the other is a soft leather, the way the branches are growing i'd guess it's a sinularia variety but it could also be a medusa coral (sphaerella sp.). hth.

That thing definately looks like Sinularia flexibis. Spaghetti finger leather.

Good, someone else has a conch. Stupid me, I got it at the petstore, and it was attatched to another snail. Well, bought them both, got them home, the other snail was dead, and "Slirpy" (Mom named him) zips around the tank looking for a friend. Then his name is "Hannibal" (I re-named him)
Hope yours doesn't try to take out the snail population.

most Conchs make good additions to a reef tank the only thing is they are somewhat clumsy and tend to knock things over. Also, most get very large!!! Usually they tend to keep to themselves, however, they will attack other conch's especially.
