| Pistol? Am pretty certain I have a pistol shrimp in tank.
Have never seen it, but do hear popping or snapping from tank now and then esp. at night, when fans off and can be easier heard.
Other indicator is that I have to replace skunk cleaner shrimp couple times a year after their disappearing.
Just lost another. _________ AG "125," AquaC EV 180, 30 gal sump, "SCWD", 80 lbs LR, CoralSeaLife "Moonlite" Hood, PFO 250W HQI Mini-Pendant (SPS HQI 14000k bulb)
12 Gallon NanoCube - 24w stock PC 50/50 light "...nothing good ever happens fast in a reef tank, only bad things happen fast..."

| Ok, what is wrong with a pistol shrimp? I just ordered one to live with my goby since her mate jumped to his death. Will I regret this?

| Ok, NOW, I'm MAD! No where in my research did I ever see anything about the pistol shrimp eating cleaner shrimp. Everything, I saw was about the symbolic relationship it maintains with the goby fish. I figured since I would probably never find her another mate, I would just get this shrimp. Ergghh! I hope Jacques will be ok. |

Don't be mad. Way too much info out there to find on own. Post question before buying anything here on 3Reef. Members here have pretty much seen it all.
Jacques will be fine. |
