    I picked up a couple emerald crabs today and one is pretty pale. When I dropped them in the tank they both immediately started eating so maybe they were starving?

    I ordered one from reef cleaners once and he was almost gray. He ate like a champ though.

    Ours are pale before they molt. It took them 6 months to do it, too.
