Default NONE! good or bad???

so after hearing about bristle worms i decided to check my tank out at night, so since its in my room if i just close the door when its dark outside no light enetrates the room, so i did that and left it for abour 2 to 2 and a half hours, i got a flash light with some clear red wrapping stuff around it and went it, i was glad to see no birstle worms (seeing as i am turning it into a reef tank) but was suprissed to see nothing else, normally when one has 50 pounds of live rock in a 55 gallon tank, one would expect to see others living organisms, i was reading online that you should see stuff moving around that u dont in the day,
does this mean my rock isnt alive???? help!

You are "turning it into a reef tank"? Was it something before this...FO, FOWLR? Is this tank cycled? How long has it been set up? Any other critters in it? I am sure if its Real LR there is some life in it. Patience my friend. Since you sleep in the room with he tank try checking it periodically during the night. I did and still do!

Of course Ive got no life.

By the way. If there is no life in your LR that can be a good thing!
