| My LTA finally got his stick back! So after a couple weeks of being on my toes, my anemone (as of yesterday) has gained his "stick" back. His coloring i think is still a little off and I was expecting him not to make it (after reading all the stuff about how anemones never come back once they start to decline, etc.) and especially since I found out you shouldn't get one if you have a young tank. For two or three weeks he just looked dreadful; deflated tentacles, no stick, half the size of when I got him. A couple a weeks ago I bought a new light setup for him and I guess its just now starting to take effect. His color is starting to look much more rosy, his size has doubled, his tentacles are inflated, and he will now accept food because he has his stick back. I think if I just increase my current with a small powerhead, this guy will be rockin.
Well, heres hoping (fingers crossed)

| Good Luck! I have never had any luck with any of my anemones. I once had a beautiful green carpet anemone, but get this.... it was in my 12 gallon nano. I was a newbie and my LFS told me it would be ok in the nano. WRONG!!! He lasted about all of 2 weeks. I never went back to that LFS....
But I wish you lots of luck.

| thanks, i really hope he makes it! things seem to be looking up anyway. Too bad about your carpet. It seems that LFS don't have a very good track record with advising newbies (or at least those new to anemones) on their care or requirements :/ |

| so just an update on the anemone. He's been doing better and better. finally settled in a spot in the tank and burrowed and has gotten much bigger (looks like hes taking over! lol). He also eats pretty readily. Tentacles are in good health and have a good pink color to them. Only worry is the base still looks a little pale, but its the only issue i can see. |
