Very sorry to hear your troubles serotonin. I too just picked up my first anemone and he has wandered off to the back of my tank.

They do, a new one will be shipped out today. We decided it will be best to remove the guy and put it in the freezer to end its suffering. Thanks so much everyone for lending a helping hand, it's greatly appreciated!!!

I'm not totally sure what you mean Joe. If cryogenic as in a means to put the animal down. Yes, that's what I decided to do in order to stop the poor guys demise from taking longer than it needed to be. I tried to do it in the most humane way I could think of.

It certainly was a nice looking creature from the topside. I believe that the lacerations to its body were made worse as the poor guy was tearing itself even more as the night went on, perhaps trying to take in or remove water from its body.

That's the best way to end it's suffering. Sorry for the loss serotonin. It looks like some doofus pulled it off of a rock and ripped his foot open, more than likely the cause.
