I had a rose BTA that got to about 30 inches across it took up about half of a 180 length and width wise when fully extended. The clowns fed it to well.. I took knife to it and sold the clones.. Never again would I put an anemone into a reef tank with corals and fish.

I have stimulated a split just by doing a large water change. But be careful what you wish for. Typically when an anenome splits both new anenomes need to find a new home. Then will move all over the tank and take out anything in it's path.

Yep, been lucky with this one...went thru several when just starting out. It has been around for 4+ years now.

Mistake I made was recently starting to target feed it while feeding other fish instead of just letting the clowns take care of it. Now it is 5X - 6X as big as it was just a few months ago.
